Ladybug's Holy Grail

Ya'll blogging is hard.  At least for me it is.  It seems like I don't have the time or energy to really blog anymore.  Every time I start sleep kicks in and if you know me then you know I LOVE to sleep. It's been a struggle since Ladybug was born, but baby I still get my naps in daily.  If I don't get my rest, I'm not the person that you want to be around.  Now don't let me be hungry AND sleepy...I'm really the last person that you want to deal with at that point.  Back to blogging though.  It's also tough because I am a perfectionist and if something isn't right then I will mess with it all night if I have to.
Like I have to find the perfect pictures, which by the way I hope it's "legal" for me to use the pictures I have been using.  I've been giving photo credits but ya'll know everything is so technical these days.  I've been trying to go back and find pictures of my hair but I now realize that I don't take good pictures of my hair.  I have a million and one selfies but not one really shows my hair texture or the perfect perm rod set.  Plus I need to start taking pictures and videos of each step of the process when doing my hair.  Uggghhh, I'm going to do better...I promise.

Okay, ya'll know I can get off topic so back to the subject at hand.  Ladybug's hair.  So finally I've found the holy grail products for her hair.  I love Mielle Organics for my hair so I thought I would love their children's line for her hair, but I didn't.  It just didn't do it for me.  I ended up going to my other favorite brand, The Mane Choice.  Somehow I completely skipped over their children's line.  I probably missed it because at the time I was so focused on products that were specifically for an infant/new toddler's hair. What the hell is a new toddler?  I don't know.  It sounded good so just roll with me.  They now have a line for babies (body and hair) and I'm so mad they didn't have this when I had Ladybug. But don't worry...I'll be sure to try it out on the next one.  That won't be any time soon so don't hold your breath!  Below are the products that I use.

  • Juicy Orange Fruit Medley KIDS Shampoo - Where do I begin?!  This shampoo smells exactly like oranges.  It's creamy and it makes detangling while washing SUPER easy.  It leaves Ladybug's hair soooo soft and it contains biotin!  Ya'll should know by now I'm a biotin junkie. Not to mention it strengthens the hair, gently washes away all build-up, and minimizes breakage and split-ends.  A clean scalp and clean hair are essential for healthy hair growth not only for adults, but for children also.
  • Fresh Lemon Fruit Medley KIDS Conditioner - I'm not a fan of the lemon scent, but I am a fan of this conditioner.  Let me say first that it contains biotin and vitamin E.  These help to nourish, grow, and hydrate the hair.  The shampoo already makes detangling easy, so this is just the icing on the cake.  It helps to strengthen the hair so of course it also minimizes split-ends and breakage.
  • Green Apple Fruit Medley Detangling KIDS Leave-In Conditioner - It smells just like green apples.  I use this on wash days and any other day that I am doing Ladybug's hair. It makes detangling so easy.  Did I mention it contains biotin and vitamin E?!  It helps to add moisture to her hair and it minimizes breakage.
  • Sweet Strawberry Fruit Medley KIDS Moisturizer - Yes, it smells like strawberries!  This is an instant moisturizer.  I also use this on wash day as well as any day that I style her hair.  It seals moisture in and guess what?  It contains biotin!
I go so hard for these products so some of these brands need to start sending me some free stuff!  I'm so serious though.  But The Mane Choice never disappoints me.  I love that they include biotin in almost all of their products plus other essential oils and vitamins.  I am here for healthy hair growth.  Usually the washing and conditioning part is torture for Ladybug.  No matter how gentle I am she hated getting her hair washed, but not with these products.  She loves to hold the bottles and sniff them because she says they "smell good", which they really do.  We are at the point now where I lay her across the counter and wash her hair.  That struggle in the bathtub was not even worth it any more.  It wore the both of us out.

Now I still use Mielle Organics White Peony Leave-In and Avocado Hair Milk on her hair from time to time.  I use it more when I braid her hair or do a twist out.  I use the Mint Almond Oil on her hair regularly.

I didn't proofread this blog at the moment so please forgive any grammatical errors that you may find.  I'll go over it later.  Sleep is calling my name.  Thank you for reading and on my next blog I will start back talking about my hair and my favorite hair accessories.  Sweet dreams! 😘
