Do you hear me? DEVIL. I ate Tums all day and night like they were candy. Everything gave me heartburn. EVERYTHING. Yes, even water gave me heartburn. How in the hell do you get heartburn from water?! I don't know but I had it. So when Ladybug came out the first thing everyone talked about was her hair. It was thick and packed down. I didn't realize how much hair she had as a newborn until they gave her a bath at the hospital.
Let me get back on the topic. I'm not good at ponytails, parts, braids, none of that. My friend told me I would learn and she was right. I had no choice but to learn. So it's going to be cool and rainy for the next few days and during this time I decided to braid Ladybug's hair. Let me warn you now, my parts are not straight BUT I have gotten soooo much better. The struggle was real last year when I started braiding her hair. I've even gotten comfortable with putting a hand band around her braids and going out in public. At one point, those braids were never to be seen outside of this house. Here is what I had to start with...

Mielle Organics White Peony Leave-In Conditioner, Water, Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil, Mielle Organics Avocado Hair Milk |
I used the above products to help with detangling and to add moisture to her hair. Her hair retains moisture better when it's braided versus when it's in ponytails or loose. I sprayed water and leave-in all over her hair. I then rubbed her hair and scalp with the mint almond oil. I parted it down the middle and applied the hair milk to both sections. I was able to detangle, part, and braid her hair with no problem.

All done! |
Now I already warned ya'll that my parts aren't the straightest in the world. But this will work just fine since we will probably be stuck in the house for the next few days due to the weather.
Thanks for reading and feel free to comment! Check back later for the results of my braid out I did this week! 😙
